The 2nd meeting of the Hungarian Young Scientists took place in Visegrád, on 2-3 September 2005, with the cooperation and support of the British Council and the Ministry of Economy. All the prize winners of the past 14 years of the National Scientific and Innovation Contest for Youth were invited to the meeting. The main topics of the meeting were the British and Hungarian technology transfer and spin-off companies.

The main patrons of the event were HMA John Nichols, Ambassador to Hungary and Dr. János Kóka, Minister of Economy.

The professional lectures achieved great interests among the young researchers. The two-days event was closed with the foundation of the "Hungarian Young Scientists" Society. The foundation statement was unanimously accepted by the participants.
