Since the founding of Audi Hungaria, it has grown into one of the country's largest exporters and one of the largest revenue-generating companies in the country. Audi Hungaria is also the largest employer in the region, employing 12 307 employees on December 31, 2017, and one of the largest foreign investors in Hungary. Audi has been manufacturing motors for the Audi and Volkswagen Group since 1994. Gedeon Richter Ltd. established in 1901 carries out research, development, manufacture and marketing of human finished drugs, active substances and intermediates. Production takes place in Hungary (Budapest, Dorog) and in Russia, Romania, the Ukraine and India as well. The Company manufactures about one hundred kinds of pharmaceuticals in more than 170 presentations. Among its products are original, generic and licensed preparations. The products cover numerous therapeutic areas, with special emphasis on the production and development of drugs for the central nervous system, as well as antiulcer agents, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal preparations and oral contraceptives. Research into drugs of the central nervous system and development of generic products are of primary importance. In the past 50 years Gedeon Richter Ltd. has introduced ten original preparations to the market.

Magyar Suzuki Zrt. was the 7th largest company in the country in terms of turnover in 2019. Magyar Suzuki Zrt.'s marine engine business has doubled the number of engines sold in the last three years. The market share of Magyar Suzuki's engine business exceeded 11 percent in 2020. As of 1 April 2019, Magyar Suzuki became the Suzuki Group's European spare parts and accessories base. From the 6,480-square-metre, highly automated supply centre, an average of 125 truck parts and spare parts are dispatched weekly to 120 countries on five continents.
